So Xmas is fast approaching. I know many of you maybe saying ‘hold on. It’s only the first week of October’? Yes, but in our experience if you take into consideration some of the tips we suggest below you will ensure that your impending festive period not only saves you money, but also makes it a much more pleasurable hassle free period. For those of you with children/ elderly family/ disabled friends or family. Planning is essential, but the tips we suggest are designed to help everyone.

So what are these tips???

1. Avoid peak travel dates – So if you can avoid travelling during the peak Xmas dates you will sure to bag yourself a much better price and smoother travel experience. Remember you can still travel on Xmas day. Airports and Transfers4airport.com are open 24/7, 365 days a year.
2.  Book early – Our advice would be to try and book your flight tickets as soon as possible as prices will inevitably increase the closer you get to Xmas.  Booking early will also ensure that you have the best chance to grab the dates you want. 5. Space your connections out – If you book your own tickets online and have connections to reach your destination. It is advised to try and space out your connections. Xmas is one of the busiest travel periods in the year which means that delays tend to increase during this time. So spacing your connections could potentially avoid you from missing your onward flight.
6. Leave early – Many airlines advise you to get to the airport within a reasonable timescale to avoid missing your flight. Our experience has shown that different airlines, airports and countries work on different timescales. So we would say that you should directly find out what the timeframe is for your flight. Remember the time that you are expected to get onto an ‘Emirates’ flight at London Gatwick may not be the same timeframe as getting an ‘Emirates’ flight from JFK. Taking this into consideration we advise that you leave your home/ office or place of departure well in advance. 7. Pack wisely – Historically passengers would try and pack most luggage into overhead cabins, which saves time having to wait around for baggage collection.
